The Stinging Rose Caterpillar
The sting flamboyant Rose or the Rose Slug Caterpillar less than an inch long and comes in red, orange and yellow with purple and green pinstripes. This species has iridescent black tipped spines with venom glands. Touching this worm will cause the tip of a thorn to decide and toxins to enter the skin. It can cause skin irritation and rash hypersensitivity reactions.
